A DC machine is an electromechanical energy alteration device. The working principle of a DC machine is when electric current flows through a coil within a magnetic field, and then the magnetic force generates a torque that rotates the dc motor.

Transformers are electrical devices consisting of two or more coils of wire used to transfer electrical energy by means of changing the magnetic fields. The transformer does this by linking together two or more electrical circuits by using a common oscillating magnetic circuit which is produced by the transformer itself. A transformer operates on the principles of “Electromagnetic Induction”, in the form of mutual induction. Therefore, the focus of the module is on transformers and their industrial usages.
